DuraLabel 9000
Manufacturer: Graphic Products
Status: Confirmed LOCKED, unlocking available
The Duralabel 9000 is locked with the same Skyetek RFID module as the Duralabel Pro, as confirmed by the FCC images available online. This means that once you buy a Duralabel 9000 printer, you will have a hard time finding supplies for it, except from Graphic Products. Luckily, there are options available to Duralabel 9000 owners to unlock your printer!
Locking Mechanism: RFID
Confirmed through FCC
Because RFID is a radio technology, products that use RFID for any purpose must register with the FCC. Through the FCC's website, you can see just how the Duralabel 9000 uses the RFID technology. Inside each roll of supply purchased through Graphic Products, an RFID tag is hidden. At each print, if the Duralabel 9000 cannot find this tag, it locks you out from printing. This means you are forced to order from Graphic Products, or have a printer that doesn't work. Of course, with unlocking options available, you don't have to remain stuck!

What does Duralabel 9000 locking do?
The Duralabel 9000 locking mechanism prevents you from using any supply other than the original in the DL9000. This means:
- Unless you unlock, you'll be forced to order from one company with no choice
- Unless you unlock, you won't be able to shop around for the best price and quality
- Unless you unlock, you won't be able to get competitive bids and pricing
- Unless you unlock, you won't have access to any custom supply solutions
- Unless you unlock, the company you purchase from won't have to earn your business, they're guaranteed your business
